Giant Tiger breathes new life into menswear lines

Giant Tiger, a leading Canadian-owned family discount store, has revamped three of its exclusive menswear lines — Mountain Ridge, ACX Active and Tradesmax Pro — and launched Rivet61.

“The re-launching of our exclusive men's lines is part of the overall soft goods evolution at Giant Tiger,” said Thomas Haig, president and COO, Giant Tiger. “More than a year ago, this journey in our fashion departments began in womenswear, followed by the children's department, and our customers responded favorably. Re-launching the shopping experience for men is a continuation of our retail story.”

Giant Tiger’s VP of marketing Karen Sterling highlighted each brand’s versatility, appealing to busy shoppers who want to be able to put together multiple outfits quickly. “We recognize that Canadian customers are time-starved and so each brand has its own fashion house with clearly distinctive brands and styles.”

The Mountain Ridge line is casual and includes layering pieces such as fleece-lined hoodies, all-purpose pants and outwear. ACX Active takes its inspiration from the latest athleisure fashion trends. In addition to the revamped menswear line, there are lines for women and children. Tradesmax Pro is a workwear brand with pieces that meet CSA requirements.

Rivet61 is Giant Tiger’s new brand that the retailer has positioned as a go-to label for relaxed urban style. The line offers a combination of on-trend and versatile pieces that can be worn from day to night and from season to season.

Emphasizing each collection’s affordable price points, the retailer is promoting the brands with the hashtag #FORHIMFORLESS.
