WAYNE, Pa. — BizEquity, a leading online provider of business valuation big data, has promoted Amir Tahvildaran to VP of product management and Eric May to VP of professional services and strategic accounts. Both Tahvildaran and May have extensive experience in product management, software design and management across tech and financial services sectors.
Tahvildaran joined BizEquity as the VP of engineering in 2015 from Drexel University where he spent 12 years in various positions at the university and its technology think tank the Math Forum, including lead software engineer, software operations supervisor and most recently, adjunct professor. Tahvildaran received his bachelor’s of science degree in computer science from Drexel University.
May joined BizEquity shortly after Tahvildaran and has extensive experience in professional services, product management and enterprise client delivery, having worked at iPipeline, a leading provider of sales distribution software to the insurance and financial services market, where he was the head of product management for five years. Prior to this, he spent two years at Elemica, the leading supply chain operating network for the process industry. May has a bachelor’s of science in logistics and a masters in information science, both from Penn State University.
The promotions represent the next logical step in BizEquity's growth as the firm seeks to develop a professional services organization that will support large enterprise client relationships. BizEquity currently has more than 630 financial services firms as clients for its patented private label adviser office solution.
“I am delighted to announce Amir and Eric's promotions, which are a testament to their outstanding contributions at BizEquity since they joined the firm,” said Michael Carter, founder and CEO at BizEquity. “In particular, Amir's knowledge of the emerging big data and AI space made him a logical choice to run product for us while Eric's wealth of expertise in delivering services and strategic client relationships makes him the ideal candidate to be our VP of professional services and strategic accounts.”
